The Belux Sales team is based in Brussels and it's working on the banking market in Belgium and Luxembourg. As banking services start to become offered by Fintech companies, also this particular market segment will be addressed.
Position overview
For the Sales Department the Business Development Manager establishes new relationships with the target market and maintains client relations by providing support, information and guidance. Reporting The Business Development Manager will report directly to the Sales Director Belux. Responsibilities
- Sell software products by establishing contacts and developing relationships with prospects
- Maintain relationships with existing banking clients
- Identify business opportunities by analyzing the prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; together with the Sales Director decide on the right sales strategy
- Contribute to the team target by accomplishing related results as needed helping marketing with content for several campaigns
- Lead contract negotiations
- Monitor the delivery and manage the client relationship during the implementation period;
facilitate the resolution of escalated clients issues; monitor the client satisfaction
Ideal candidate profile
- Between 10 – 15 years’ experience with sales in the finance sector
- At least 5 years’ experience in software product selling
- An existing contact network in the Belgian and/or Luxembourg banking market is considered as a
plus
- Experience in negotiating complex software contracts and related packages such as
implementation projects, maintenance & support, training, …
- An affinity with digital and innovative elements that will change the banking scene
- Willing to attend trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings of the industry
- Good reporting and presentation skills
- A team player taking initiatives
- Client-oriented and open to change
- Result-oriented and a quick learner
- A high energy level and highly motivated to open new doors; ability to prospect, build and
maintain long lasting relationships with senior management
- A strong educational background: university degree or equivalent through experience
- Excellent in French, Dutch and English (spoken and written)
