Raffaele has over thirty years of professional experience, twenty of which in senior management positions, with multinational technology companies. He started his career at the Italian National Research Centre (CNR).

After having successfully launched the Italian subsidiaries of several multinational IT companies among which Modcomp and Informix Software, he took over leading roles in Marketing and Sales at International headquarters with AC Nielsen and Olivetti reporting directly to their group CEO.

Prior to this he was at Merrill Lynch South Europe Headquarters, where he developed significant experience in arranging a wide range of financial transactions from fund raising to IPO’s, from loan arrangement to M&A activity, successfully completing several major deals.

His industry expertise includes: Hardware Peripherals and Components, Computer Software, Networking, Systems Integration and Consultancy, Telecom, On-line services, Multimedia. He has been among the founders of Unix International and the European Software Publishers Association.

Raffaele joined Hightech Partners in 2006 and became Managing Partner in 2010.

He holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Rome.

He resides in Brussels, Belgium and Milan, Italy.
